Новый мультимодальный транзитный сервис Китай – Европа

New Multimodal Transit Service via St. Petersburg

  • Container Terminal Saint-Petersburg (CTSP) has started handling cargoes in the framework of a multimodal container service from China to Europe organized by the logistic operator FELB in partnership with Samskip.

In February 2022, CTSP handled a forth train in the framework of the service. 49 containers were delivered by rail from Taiyuan in China. The transit time from China to St. Petersburg made 14 days.

35 containers were loaded on board Samskip-operated container ship “Pirita” to be delivered to Germany. The remaining containers left the terminal for customers across Russia.

The new container service between Asia and Europe was launched by FELB in December 2021 to meet the growing customer demand for railway transportation of cargo from east to west across the territory of Russia. The operator plans regular train shipments.
