40% More Container Vessels Call Vladivostok in 2023

  • During 2023, freight traffic controlled by the Vladivostok Customs grew 8.7% year-on-year, mainly due to container traffic increase, THe Far Eastern Customs administration has reported.

    The number of container vessel calls grew 40% amounting to 2,688 ships compared to 1,914 in 2022. Container imports increased 16.3% year-on-year during 2023.

    Vladivostok served trade with 117 countries in 2023, first and foremost with the APR countries. 23,000 companies participated in foreign trade operations, down 3.7% compared to 2022. However, the activities on the part of larger importers accelerated.
