  • Извините, этот техт доступен только в “Eng”.

Ust-Luga Container Terminal, part of Global Ports Group, has received a permission from the Federal Railway Transport Agency to handle containers on railways in accordance with paragraphs 11n and 12n of Tariff Guide No. 4.

Tariff Guide No. 4 was approved by the Council on Railway Transport of the member states of the Commonwealth of Independent States. The document contains information about the railway infrastructure and specifies the tariff distances for the transportation of passengers, cargo and cargo-luggage within the RW borders of the states participating in the Council’s work.

The permit obtained means that Ust-Luga Container Terminal will now be able to handle heavy containers (20’, 40’ and 45’ units) of the maximum gross weight (up to 41 tons inclusively) on its own railways. Previously, the maximum weight of containers handled at ULCT was 30.48 tons.

High lifting capacity containers include refrigerated containers, tank containers and Open Top containers. Currently, all Global Ports terminals with a railway front have a permit to operate with heavy containers under paragraphs 11n and 12n.
