FESCO Sends First Block Train from Chelyabinsk to China and Viet Nam via Vladivostok

  • FESCO Transport Group has dispatched the first block train from Chelyabinsk to Vladivostok carrying exports for China and Viet Nam, the Group said in a statement.

    The train left the railways station of Formachevo in the Yuzhnouralsky Dry Port transport and logistics center on January 15 and is expected to arrive at Commercial Port o Vladivostok in 10-11 days.

    The 150 TEU on board the train are laden with agricultural products and insulator manufactured in Chelyabinsk region. From Vladivostok, the container will be shipped to Xingang in China and Haiphong in Viet Nam using FESCO-operated short sea services.

    FESCO launched its direct FESCO Chelyabinsk Shuttle service from Vladivostok to Chelyabinsk in June 2023. It is designed to serve imports from East and Southeast Asia to the South Urals, including consumer goods and household electric appliances.

    The now launched FESCO Chelyabinsk Shuttle eastbound from Chelyabinsk to Vladivostok is aimed for Chelyabinsk and ‘s neighbouring regions’ exports to China, South Korea, Viet Nam and India utilizing FESCO’s short sea an deep sea service as well as delivery to Magadan’ Peropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk and Anadyr using FESCO’s cabotage service.
