An agreement providing for building to container terminals was signed between TransContainer and the Chamber of Commerce of the Moscow region, TransContainer said in a statement.
The agreement entitling TransContainer to support mechanisms for investment projects will be valid for three years.
One of the projects is developing a container terminal near the railway station of Chekhov of the Moscow Railway. At stage 1 it will have a capacity of 173 thousand TEU to be expanded up to 1 million TEU.
The estimated project cost is 10-12 bn rubles ($108-130 mn). The terminal is expected to start operating in 2025- 2026.
The other container terminal for 424 thousand TEU is to be built in the area of Domodedovo near the railway station of Usady.
