USC Starts Designing Container Vessels for North-South Corridor

  • Russia’s United Shipbuilding Corporation has started developing design for container vessels to be deployed in the North-South transport corridor, USC Head Alexey Rakhmanov said speaking at the Integration Eurasian Business Forum.

‘USC has started designing container vessels, and in the near future we will be able to demonstrate a regular container line serving international transport corridor North-South,’ the USC press office quotes Rakhmanov as saying.

He believes that the North-South transport corridor linking Northwest Russia with the Caspian countries, when fully operable, will give an additional impulse to the integration between the Eurasian Union economies.
