First Ever Unmanned Truck from St. Petersburg to Kazan

  • An unmanned truck has completed a journey from St. Petersburg to Kazan for the first time, the RF Ministry of transport said in its social media account.

It took the Navio truck 24 hours to cover a distance of 1,600 kilometers. With a driver, such a journey normally takes some 58 hours, more than twice as long.

There was an engineer in the cab, but the truck was operating in an autonomous mode. The testing of the driverless technology continues, the Ministry said.
