  • FESCO Transport Group, the Ministry of transport and roads of the Republic of Tatarstan, and Alliance Management Company, the operator of Sviyazhsk Interregional Multimodal Logistics Center, have agreed to mutually develop an off-dock terminal in Sviyazhsk.

A tripartite agreement to this effect was signed by Maxim Strakhov, Managing Director of TG-Terminal, part of FESCO, Farit Khanifov, Minister of transport and roads of Republic of Tatarstan, and Damir Madyarov, MD of Alliance Management Company.

The document envisages a long-term cooperation in designing and building a state of the art logistics terminal that is to become a key hub for consolidating containerized cargo arriving by rail to the station of Sviyazhsk and shipped by inland water transport by the Volga River.

It is expected that the would-be-terminal will handle also the cargo that will be carried by the North-South international transport corridor.

FESCO also intends to use the infrastructure of the river terminal in Sviyazhsk Interregional Multimodal Logistics Center.

At the first stage, the parties are to define a concrete project development plan.
