RTSB-RUS has launched a regular service for reefer containers from China to Moscow region in cooperation with Chinese partners, the company said in a statement.
Trains run from Guangzhou in South China via the border crossing point of Zabaikalsk-Manzhouli on the Russia-China border every week.
At present, three or four reefer contains are added to every block train. Depending on the customers’ demand, they are delivered either to Elektrougli or Selyatino stations in Moscow region.
Cargo from China consists mainly of food products and cosmetics. In the cold season, reefer containers are also used to ship goods with LCD panels. The transit time is 15 to 20 days.
RTSB-RUS made first test shipments in summer 2023. Now, the operator offers a regular service for small shipments. In future, the company plans to increase the number of reefer containers in block trains depending on the customer demand.
