Murmansk Handles Largest Bulker to Ever Transit Northern Sea Route

  • Murmansk Commercial Sea Port handled the Capesize bulker “Gingo” loading 164,500 tons of iron ore concentrate on board the vessel

    At present, the ship has completed her passage via the Northern Sea Route eastbound and is proceeding to Qingdao in China, the port said in a statement.

    The “Gingo” has become the largest bulker to have ever transited the Northern Sea Route and the cargo on board the vessel is the largest shipload ever carried by the route.
