International logistics operator Ahlers has put into operation the first phase of its fifth warehouse in Gorelovo near St. Petersburg. NF Group, formerly Knight Frank St. Petersburg, acted as a technical customer and controlled the construction process.
According to NF Group, the 25,300 sqm facility located in the Southern area of Gorelovo industrial zone is part of Ahlers’ warehousing complex that will have a total area exceeding 60,000 sqm.
The construction started during the worst period of the pandemic and was impacted by the deficit of workforce and inflation-driven higher construction materials costs; later, at the final stage, logistics chains breakup hampered the process, however, the project was successfully completed and the facility was put into operation, NF Group said.
