Ruscon Expands Service between Russia and Turkey

  • Multimodal operator Ruscon, part of Delo Group, is expanding its service offering between Russia and Turkey adding a call at the port of Gebze located in one of the most industrially developed areas of the country, 50 km south-east of Istanbul, the company announced.

The company organized the entire transportation process from the manufacturer’s warehouse in the Siberian region to the port of discharge in Turkey. The transit time by sea was less than 3 days. The next shipment is scheduled for October 31, 2022.

Over a hundred containers laden with Russian made goods for Turkish chemical companies were delivered in the framework of the first operation. The key feature of this scheme is the company’s ability to offer shippers a reliable service not only to the European, but also to the Asian part of Istanbul, Ruscon explained.

Andrey Chernyshev, Senior Vice President of Ruscon, emphasized the importance of the Balkan direction: “Expanding operational geography is one of the main development priorities of RUSCON. Consequently, in the context of the global logistics chain restructuring, Turkish ports are beginning to play an increasingly important role for the delivery of transit cargo”.
