Универсальный терминал создадут на ТОР «Надеждинская»

Universal Terminal Project for Russian Far East

  • Far East and Arctic development Corporation and RZD Logistics have signed an agreement on cooperation in developing railway freight transportation and infrastructure.

The agreement provides for building a universal terminal to provide multimodal services for export and import cargo in the Nedezhdinskaya advanced development territory near Vladivostok in the Russian Far East.

The need for expanding cargo handling facilities arises from the growing cargo flow via the Russian Far East triggered by the geopolitical situation and the sanctions imposed. Cargo flows reorientation to the Far East results in an increasing load on the local logistics infrastructure.

For the time being, RZD Logistics is ready to start pre-design and feasibility studies for the terminal project. It is planned that the investment project will be implemented during 2023-2025 following its approval.

The estimated freight flow via the terminal is some 200-250 thousand TEU per annum. The terminal will provide logistics services for the residents of the Nadezhdinskaya territory of advanced development and will be a hub for multimodal freight transportation between the Russian Far East and Southeast Asia.
