TransContainer has announced launching a new multimodal service between Russia and India via Novorossiysk and Suez. Containers delivered to Novorossiysk by rail and road will be accumulated at NUTEP Container Terminal (part of Delo Group, same as TrabsContainer) and shipped to Nhava Sheva.
The transit time be sea is 14-15 days. At the initial stage, the service will be monthly, later, the frequency is planned to be made forthnightly.
From Nhava Sheva, a feeder service to Mundra or door delivery by truck is available. Both shippers’ containers and TransContainer’s equipment can be used.
Export freight flow will consist mainly of paper, steel rolls, and abrasive materials, import freight from India will include electric appliances, industrial equipment, non-IMO chemicals, textiles, tiles and food products.
