Alexander Lukashenko, President of Belarus, has signed a decree to approve of the draft agreement between Belarus and Russia on customs legislation harmonization and cooperation in the customs sphere.
According to the Belarussian Government press office, the draft agreement provides for the two countries’ customs bodies cooperation in such spheres as information exchange, mutual customs control and customs agents categorization.
It also envisages establishing an Intergovernmental Center in the frameworks of the Customs Committee of the Union of Russia and Belarus to coordinate risk management activities and monitor and analyze customs operations.
