Intermodal Service from APR to Finland via Vladivostok

  • FESCO, RZD Logistics and Nurminen Logistics Services OY are launching a regular intermodal service branded Finland Bridge between Asian Pacific Region and Finland using Commercial port of Vladivostok and the TransSiberian Railway.

    The first shipment consisted of 62 40’ units delivered from Chinese port of Shanghai, Ningbo and Qingdao to Vladivostok on FESCO’s regular services and then sent by a block train to the rail station of Vuosaari in Finland.

    The estimated transit time is 25 days, which is 1.5 times quicker than via the Suez. The service frequency will make 3-4 times a month.

    FESCO is responsible for shipping by sea, terminal service in Vladivostok, provides container equipment and rolling stock, Russian Logistics organizes block train services, while Nurminen Logistics attracts shippers and provides logistics services in Finland and Northern Europe.
