FESCO is launching Silkway Amber, a regular block train from Zhengzhou in China to Hamburg and back routed via Kaliningrad. The train crosses borders at Erlian, Zamyn-Uud and Naushki in the east and at Mamonovo / Braniewo in the west.
The transit time makes 14 days. Most of the cargo is consumer goods and equipment.
The test train carrying 43 containers left Zhengzhou on October 24. In 2020, the service is to become regular with weekly departures from Zhengzhou and Hamburg.
