Russian Sea Ports’ Capacity Grew 68 Million Tons in 2023

  • The total capacity of the Russian sea ports increased 68.2 million tons under the Sea Ports Development federal project in the framework of the core infrastructure modernization and development plan, Russia’s sea port property management agency Rosmorport said.

    As of the end of 2023, the aggregate capacity of Russia’s 63 sea ports exceeded 1.3 billion tons.

    The construction of an LNG terminal in Murmansk region added 10.44 million tons of capacity, the LNG terminal in the Kamchatka area added 10.85 million tons, the new Sukhodol coal port added 4.5 million tons, the dry cargo terminal in Taman added 25 million tons, the universal terminal in Ust-Luga 8.6 million tons, and the expansion of Daltransugol 8.8 million tons.
