RF President Vladimir Putin has ordered to subsidize shipping by sea to/from Kaliningrad Oblast, the list of instructions is published on the Kremlin web portal.
The subsidy scheme that will provide compensation for Russian companies’ expenses on shipping cargo by sea to and from Kaliningrad Oblast is to be developed in cooperation with the Government of Kaliningrad region.
The mechanism is to be developed by November 1, with Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin appointed responsible for accomplishing the task.
The President also commissioned the RF Government to develop suggestions as to the construction of here rao;way ferries to serve the Ust-Luga – Baltiysk route. The suggestions are to submitted by November 10.
