TransContainer and Ruscon Plan Regular Service for Oilseeds to East Siberia

  • TransContainer and Ruscon, both parts of Delo Group, are planning to launch regular block trains to carry oilseeds to East Siberia, TransContainer said in a statement.

    Test shipments started in July this year, During the three months that passed, 448 TEU was delivered to Irkutsk region from three stations of the Moscow and North Caucasian railways.

    The partners intend to increase the service frequency to 4-6 block trains a month. For that purpose, they plan to add other stations of loading on the Southeast, a Volga and Kuibyshev Railways.

    Under the project, Ruscon offers freight forwarding services while TransContainer provides containers and fitting platforms and offers terminal services at its own and third parties’ terminals.

    This year, TransContainer also started transporting grain and oilseeds from Irkutsk region abroad. During January-September 2023, more than 2,100 TEU was carried.
