Vyssotsk Port Boundaries Amended

  • The Government of the Russian Federation made amendments to the boundaries of the sea port of Vyssotsk by Order No941 of June 7, the press office of Rosmorport, Russia’s federal port property management agency, has reported.

The amendments are due to including the new section of the port basin (No8) into the boundaries of the port and into the territory of the maritime passenger and cargo border crossing checkpoint.

Section 8 of the port basin will be used to provide anchorage for gas carriers with a length up to 298 meters, a beam up to 47 meters and a draft up to 12.5 meters when laden as they are waiting to proceed to the LNG terminal in the Dalnyaya Bay.

Setting a dedicated anchorage for LNG tankers in the port of Vyssotsk will help improve navigation safety in the area that requires special caution from ship masters.
