FESCO Transport Group has launched a new intermodal route to deliver car parts from Ningbo in China to the railway station of Zhodino in Belarus via Commercial Port of Vladivostok, the group said in a statement.
The transit time from China to the customer’s warehouse in Belarus is 35 days. The first shipment consisting of 62 40’ units laden with car parts and components (124 TEU) left Ningbo on board a ship operating FESCO’s maritime service between Chinese ports and Vladivostok on April 23.
From there, the containers proceeded by rail to Belarus leaving Vladivostok on May 8. The arrival at the station of Zhodino is scheduled for May 22.
FESCO plans to send up to four block trains to Belarus via Commercial Port of Vladivostok and other routes for the same customer.
