Multimodal Route for Logs to Kaliningrad

  • A multimodal route to deliver logs to Kaliningrad region has been launched recently, Russian Railways reports. The cargo was shipped from the port of Ust-Luga on board a ferry to Baltiysk and then carried by railway to the station of Dzerzhinskaya-Novaya to be loaded onto trucks for delivery to the customer.

    The delivery was organized on the door-to-door basis including electronic documents issue, handling operations, and final delivery to the destination, Kaliningrad Railway noted.
