Block Train from Minsk to Vladivostok

  • FESCO Transport Group has sent the first block train from Minsk to Vladivostok as part of its FESCO Minsk Shuttle rail service. The train carrying 62 40’ units stuffed with sawn goods left the rail station of Zhodino in Minsk region, Belarus, for Commercial Port of Vladivostok to be shipped to Shanghai in early October.

Block train will run from Minsk on a monthly basis. In future, FESCO plans to increase the service frequency to fortnightly. The transit time by rail from Minsk to Vladivostok is 12-13 days. The service is aimed for traditional Belarus’ exports like sawn goods, dairy products, etc.

FESCO launched the Vladivostok – Minsk block train for export cargo from Asia in June this year. Since then, almost 2,500 TEU was carried.
