7 млрд рублей на оборудование для гражданских судов

7 Billion in Subsidies for Equipment for Commercial Vessels

  • 7 bn rubles ($116.2 mn) will be allocated from the reserve fund of the federal budget for development, manufacturing and implementation of Russian made equipment for commercial vessels according to the decree signed by RF Premier Mikhail Mishustin.

The subsidies will make it possible to develop draft designs for 40 types of equipment, which will enable completing the construction of more than a hundred different vessels including freighters, passenger, support and fishing vessels worth over 500 bn rubles ($8.3 bn) in total. Initially, components and equipment for those ships were to have been procured abroad, but the sanctions imposed disrupted cooperation in shipbuilding.

The R&D will be part of the federal project aimed at stimulating demand for Russian made shipbuilding products that in its turn is part of the Shipbuilding and Equipment Development for Shelf Project federal programme.
