Ruselectronics Holding, part of Rostec State Corporation, has started serial manufacturing of Russian-designed transport and logistics robots with a lifting capacity up to 20 tons. The equipment is expected to automatize warehousing operations and expedite logistics functions for industrial companies.
The robot is actually an automated controllable transporter with an electric drive that moves autonomously by a pre-set route and carries goods from one place to another. They can be used to transport parts and components between workshops or to the assembly line.
The platform mounted on a wheeled cart measures up to 5 m long and 2 m wide, which allows of transporting large objects.
At present, the test sample is being fine-tuned and negotiations with potential customers are in progress. The first serially manufactured logistics robots are planned to be made next year using domestically produced componentry and software.
