В Архангельске построят тыловой железнодорожный терминал

Rail Terminal to Be Built in Arkhangelsk

  • Polar Trans Port intends to build a rail terminal in Arkhangelsk, the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East and Arctic has reported.

    The new hub is aimed to serve the oil and gas projects developed in the Arctic zone by Rosneft, Norilsk Nickel, and Novatek. The investment into the project will exceed 220.7 mn rubles ($3.75 mn).

    The infrastructure will include more than 2.3 km of rails equipped with a 60-ton gantry crane. The terminal capacity will make about 200 thousand tons.

    The terminal is expected to be put into operation in autumn 2023.
