Handling Tariffs for Russian Arctic Produced LNG to Be Paid in Rubles

  • RF President Vladimir Putin has signed Federal Bill On amendments to the Federal Bill On Sea Ports concerning tariffs and rates for loading, unloading and storage of liquefied natural gas produced in the Russian Arctic.

    According to the bill, the services on loading, unloading and storage of natural gas produced in the Russian Arctic at Russian marine terminals can be priced in foreign currency for the payback period of such terminals provided that are paid for in rubles.

    The Federal bill was approved of by the State Duma of the Russian Federation on April 6, 2022, and approved by the Council of the Federation on April 13, 2022.
