Container operator RZD Business Asset has launched a new overland multimodal service between China and Russia via Kazakhstan, Russian Railways said in their social media account.
The first shipment of 40’ units laden with consumer goods was made this month. The new route between Shenzhen and St. Petersburg offers a transit time of 18 days.
The planned service frequency is four trains monthly. The door to door service including rail transit and road delivery is provided by RZD Business Asset, which acts as the single operator in China, Kazakhstan and Russia.
