On February 7, Sennebogen crawler handlers arrived at the LUGAPORT terminal construction site in the port of Ust-Luga. According to Novatrans Holding, the project developer, the machines will be used to handle breakbulk.
Sennebogen handlers were chosen due to their versatility and options to used various additional equipment, the company explained. Importantly, the supplier offered customized options that suit the terminal activities the best.
This spring, the terminal is also to have a Liebherr LPS 420 portal crane with a 124-ton capacity delivered. The crane will be used to handle breakbulk and general cargo from/to board to/from rail and from/to rail to/from warehouse.
France’s Precia Molen is to supply C85W weighbridge for the grain terminal. And in spring 2022, port tractors, trailers and containers to handle suction dry cargo are to be supplied for LUGAPORT.
