New Universal Terminal to Be Built in Slavyanka in Russian Far East

  • A 1.5 mn tons annual capacity universal terminal is to be built in the settlement of Slavyanka in Primorsky Kray in the Russian Far East. The project was initiated by International Marine Handling Terminal, a resident of the free port of Vladivostok.

    The project is aimed at terminal handling, storage and transportation of international freight. It envisages building new and modernizing the existing infrastructure and acquiring state of the art cranes, lift trucks and other handling equipment.

    The facility has a fairway, road and rail access. The existing rails are to be refurbished, and new 4.2 km long rail are to be built.

    The estimated investment is over 1.8 bn rubles ($24 mn). The project is expected to be completed by 2025.

    The investor intends to handle containers and grain at the new terminal.
