Petersburg Oil Terminal and Otkritie Bank have signed an agreement on a credit facility worth 7.6 bn rubles ($97.7 mn) for a 7-year term for the reconstruction project started in 2021.
The project aimed at modernizing the ‘old’ territory of the terminal envisages replacing all the equipment installed during the Soviet era with the same capacity state of the art facilities for oil products. The project will improve the environmental safety of operations as all the infrastructure will be spill-proof.
The overall project-related expenses are estimated to make no less than 5 bn rubles ($64.3 mn). The new facilities are to be put into operation stage by stage during 2024-2025.
