Block Train from Finland to India

  • RZD Logistics and Nurminen Logistics Services OY have launched the first block train from Finland to India in the framework of the North – South corridor.

    The train carrying 32 40’ units that started from the station of Vuosaari on June 21 is routed via the territory of Russia and Azerbaijan. The transit time to the station of Astara is expected to make 8 days.

    From Astara, the containers will be carried to the port of Bender-Abbas in Iran and loaded on board a ship destined for Nhava Sheva. The overall transit time is to make no more than 22 days.

    This is the first multimodal shipment organized by RZD Logistics and Nurminen Logistics Services under the agreement they signed during the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
