On March 15, a block train from Chengdu in Sichuan, China, arrived at the Russian Railways’ multimodal terminal at the station of Shushary in St. Petersburg.
The train delivered 50 containers (100 TEU) laden with modular structures and materials for the gas processing complex to be built in Ust-Luga.
The Russian leg of the journey was more than 6 km long. The logistics scheme was developed in cooperation with Translogistic and China’s Chengdu International Railway Service.
In the near future, other block trains are to follow on this route.
