In February this year, Ruscon and TransContainer, both parts of Delo Group, launched a block train from Sverdlovsk Oblast to China. The train carrying forty one 40’ units laden with food products was designated for Qinhuangdan in China and routed via Zabaikalsk.
In this turn-key logistics operation building on the synergies within the Group, Ruscon acted as a forwarding agent and a service provider of the first and last mile, and TransContainer organized the handling and dispatch of containers from its own terminal and rai transportation using its fitting platforms.
According to Andrey Chernyshev, Sales Director of Ruscon, the companies plan to increase the volume of joint shipments, including those via multimodal transportation through the ports of Novorossiysk, St. Petersburg and the Far East.
