Rosmorport has announced a tender to build a linear 18MWt diesel-electric icebreaker with an Icebreaker7 class notation, the company said in a statement.
The 21900М2 Project vessel is to be deployed in the freezing ports in the Russian North-West. Recently, the construction of a similar icebreaker for the Far Eastern basin commenced at Pella Shipyard.
Project 21900M2 is an improved version of Project 21900M updated by Vympel Marine Engineering Bureau in compliance with the current international conventional requirements.
