Zvezda Starts Building Fifth Aframax Tanker

    • Zvezda Shipyards has started cutting steel for a fifth Aframax tanker to be built for Rosneft. Its sister ships are at different stages of production. The first Aframax for Rosneft is to be launched this spring.

    The series will be the first Aframax tankers built in Russia. The 114,000 dwt 250 m LOA 44 m beam vessels are designed to transport crude oil and products and will be equipped with a helipad.
