Containerships Launches Rail Service

  • Containerships has announced a weekly railway service between Klaipeda (KKT terminal) and Kiev (Brovary terminal). The transit time is 50 hours.

    In Klaipeda, Containerships uses the KKT terminal and in Kiev, its own dry port Brovary located 27 km from the city center with a customs bonded zone, stuffing facilities for general, liquid and bulk cargoes and two cranes of 65 tons and 12 tons hoisting capacity.

    The company uses its own railway platform fleet and offers last mile delivery with own trucks and further delivery on truck/rail to any destination in Ukraine.

    In addition to standard dry containers, heavy payload container solution, special containers and cargo possibility (subject to special conditions) and temperature controlled deliveries (reefer with genset – subject to surcharge) are offered.
