During the first five months of 2019, the trade turnover between Russia and the countries of the European Union increased 1.6% year-on-year up to 103.4 bn euro.
According to Eurostat, import from EU countries into Russia was up 3.5% making 35.8 bn euro. Export from Russia to the European Union increased by 0.6% to 67.6 bn euro.
Among the largest importers to the EU countries, Russia occupies the fourth position after USA, China and Switzerland. Among the largest exporters to the EU countries, Russia remains the third after China and the USA.
