According to the RF Federal Customs Service, during January-March 2019 Russia exported 909.2 thousand tons of unwrought aluminum, down 2.4% year-on-year. In terms of value, unwrought aluminum export declined 10.7% down to some $1.6 bn.
Refined copper and unwrought copper alloys export was up 11.5% year-on-year to 196.1 thousand tons worth $1.2 bn, down 1% year-on-year.
Unwrought nickel export decreased in Q1 2019 by 7.4% down to 31.2 thousand tons worth $378.5 mn, down 14.8% year-on-year.
In March, unwrought aluminum export made 275.2 thousand tons, down 12.9% year-on-year and 31.8% month-on-month. In terms of value, unwrought aluminum export increased by 22.8% year-on-year and declined 35.4% month-on-month to make $778.5 mn.
Refined copper and unwrought copper alloys export in March was up 27.8% year-on-year and down 26.6% month-on-month to 64.3 thousand tons worth $399.1 mn (up 17.7% year-on-year and down 25.4% month-on-month).
Unwrought nickel export in March dropped by 67.3% year-on-year and 66.4% month-on-month down to 4.9 thousand tons. In terms of value, it was down 67.7% year-on-year and 63.7% month-on-month to $64.2 mn.
