Novorossiysk Commercial Sea Port has closed the sale of Novorossiysk Grain Terminal to VTB bank. According to NCSP, the provisional cost of the 99.9968% share in the terminal made 35.5 mn rubles.
According to the company statement, the deal was concluded in the framework of the concept aimed at establishing a single grain export operator in Russia.
Earlier, Andrey Kostin, head of VTB, said the bank would develop grain logistics developing a grain cluster on the basis of the grain assets it acquired, including 33% in Novorossiysk Kombinat Khleboproduktov terminal (NKHP), 100% in Novorossiysk Grain Terminal and 50% minus 1 share in United Grain Company.
Yesterday, it was also reported that the bank is negotiating buying 50% in the 3.5 mn ton Taman grain terminal from the Ukrainian agricultural holding Kernel.
