According to the RF Federal Customs Service statistics, in January-October 2018 Russia exported 36.8 mn tons of wheat and meslin, up 50.1% year-on-year.
In terms of value, grain export surged 60% up to $6.9 bn.
In October alone, wheat and meslin export made 4.4 mn tons, down 2.4% month-on-month.
Wheat import into Russia during January-October of 2018 grew 19.3% amounting to 254.4 thousand tons.
In terms of value, wheat import was up 27.5% up to $41.7 mn.
Barley import dropped 93.5% down to 12.7 thousand tons, corn import declined 15.6% down to 35.6 thousand tons.
In terms of value, barley import was down 93.5% to $2.1 mn, and corn import down 8.2% to $127.9 mn.
