Azov and Caspian Freight Market, Week 7, 2018

  • New cargoes that are constantly appearing in the market keep the rates high. Freight rates have gained a couple of dollars for all directions since the last report, according to Rufko shipbrokers.

    Azov port has declared today facilitation of ice regime within the port limits. Ice requirements for the Azov-Don Maritime Channel are still in force.

    This week freight rates to the Sea of Marmara from Rostov make $34-35 per ton and from Yeisk $33-34 per ton.

    Freight rates to SE Black Sea ports from Rostov are $32-33 per ton, and from Yeisk $31-32 per ton.

    There are no significant changes in the Caspian, rates are moving sideways. The trade remains stable and so does the number of open vessels.

    Freight rates from Astrakhan to Iran are $40-43 per ton.
