FESCO Launches New Block Train

  • FESCO is launching a new container block train from Yiwu in the Chinese province of Zhejiang to Moscow via the territory of Mongolia.

The first train left on December 29 and is scheduled to arrive at destination on January 11. The transit time is 14 days, three times shorter than the traditional sea route via the Suez.

The train is routed via the Erlian (China), Zamyn-Uud (Mongolia) and Naushki (Russia). FESCO uses its own containers and platforms. The planned monthly target is 400-500 TEU.

In 2018, FESCO carried overland 12.4 thousand TEU between China and Russia and between China and Europe, three times more than in 2017.
