RZD Logistics has organized containerized shipment of sawn goods from Novosibirsk in Russia to Erlian in China via the territory of Mongolia in the framework of its Russia – China – Russia export-oriented rail service.
Forty-one 40’ container with sawn goods produced by several Russian exporters was delivered from manufacturers’ storage facilities to the Kleschikha rail station in Novosibirsk region by road and loaded onto rail platforms to be carried to China via the Naushki border crossing on the Russian-Mongolian border and on via Zamyn-Uud on the Mongolian-Chinese border.
The back load consisted of thirty-nine 40’ container with consumer goods and household appliances frim Erlian to Central Russia (Vorsino station in Kaluga region).
In future, RZD Logistics hopes to make the service via Naushki regular expanding export opportunities and geography for shippers. Currently, container trains from Siberia to China are routed mostly via another border crossing, Zabaikalsk.
