Maersk Launches Service for Lorus SCM Terminal
Lorus SCM recieved its first ship call of the new regular service RU2 of MCC Transport Singapore Pte Ltd. at the terminal “Pacific Logistic”.
According to Lorus SCM, the first call took place November 23. After processing at the terminal containers with automobile parts shipped on the vessel “Contship Uno” will be sent to the central part of the on high-speed container trains of Lorus SCM.
Weekly service RU2 works in rotation Busan (Republic of Korea) / Pohang (Republic of Korea) – Vladivostok (RF). As noted in Lorus SCM, the launch of RU2 service was possible due to the modernization of the receiving infrastructure of the terminal, which can receive large vessels. The company expects that this will attract more customers and will promote the growth of cargo turnover at the terminal in the near future.
Besides MCC Transport, which is a regional carrier within Maersk, Lorus SCM works with the Korean line Sinokor, one of the top-50 largest container carriers in the world. Sinokor makes two ship calls a week to the Pacific Logistics terminal.
