Rosatom Ships Innovation Equipment for Akkuyu Nuclear Power Station

Russia’s Rosatom State Corporation has sent innovation equipment to handle used nuclear fuel, the corporation said in its social media account.

The main transport and packaging container was manufactured by Ruspolimet to the order of Tekhsnabexport, part of Rosatom.

The new generation 137T.A1 container weighing almost 100 tons is designed for transportation an storage of used nuclear fuel. It can accommodate 18 used fuel lots.
