Russia and other Caspian region countries intend to launch the first Caspian cruise in summer 2024, the Ministry of economic development of the Russian Federation reports quoting Deputy Minister Dmitry Volvach.
The route is part of the Great Volga Way project and will offer calls at the ports of all the Caspian states including Azerbaijan, Iran, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, and Russia.
At present, Asytakhan-based Lotos Shipyard is building the “Petr Velikiy” (“Peter the Great”) cruise liner which will be deployed for Caspian cruises.
