FESCO Adds “Kapitan Abonosimov” to Containership Fleet

  • FESCO Transoort Group has added the mv “Kapitan Abonosimov” to is containership fleet, the Group said in a statement. The 2023-built vessel will be deployed on the FESCO Baltorient Line deep sea service between China, India and St. Petersburg. She will set sail or her maiden voyage in mid-December.

    The 31,407 dwt, 172 m LOA and 32.2 m beam “Kapitan Abonosimov” has a capacity of 2,471 TEU and a crew of 19. The “Kapitan Abonosimov” to is the fourth in a series of six state of the art containerships ordered by FESCO in 2023 in China. The sisterships “Kapitan Shchetinina”, “Moskva” and “Sankt-Peterburg” were delivered to FESCO earlier.

    The “Kapitan Abonosimov” is the seventh vessel acquired by FESCO this year. At present, the Group operates a fleet of 36 vessels with a total deadweight exceeding 600,000 tons and a total capacity nearing 44,000 TEU.
