Infrastructure modernization and reconstruction has started at the Kutum cargo terminal in Astrakhan, the press office of Privolzhskaya Railway reports.
The project is aimed at increasing the terminal capacity. At present, new slabs are being laid under the gantry crane in the heavylift yard, and the mechanics’ building is undergoing major repairs.
Next year, the reconstruction of the container yard, the opening of a customer service sales office, transshipment equipment upgrade, processes automation, etc. are planned.
